First step
Do not repeat the donation before checking the payment result
A closed payment screen or delayed bank notification does not necessarily mean the transaction failed. Before starting another donation, check the payment result, your bank or card activity and any available transaction reference.
- Check whether the donation result shows a successful, failed or pending transaction.
- Review your bank or card activity to see whether the same amount appears more than once.
- Note the transaction date, amount and supported organisation, scholarship or project.
- If the status is unclear, request support before paying again.
Incorrect selection
A completed donation to the wrong organisation, scholarship, project or amount cannot be changed automatically
A donation is linked to the page selected during payment. After completion, changing the supported organisation, scholarship or project or returning part of the amount is not a standard correction process.
I donated to the wrong scholarship or project
Email info@bursverenler.org with the transaction date, amount, page selected by mistake and any available reference. The record can be reviewed, but redirection to another organisation, scholarship or project, or a refund, is not guaranteed.
I donated the wrong amount
The amount should be checked before payment. Reducing a completed donation or making a partial refund is generally not possible. If the donation was lower than intended, the original transaction is not changed; a separate donation may be made if desired.
Verify the donation amount, organisation and supported scholarship or project page before approving payment.
Duplicate charge
Report both records if you believe the same donation was charged twice
Two bank entries with the same or similar amount do not always mean two completed donations; one may be a pending authorisation. Check the dates and references of both entries before requesting record verification.
- Check whether both transactions are completed in your bank activity.
- Note each transaction’s date, amount and displayed description.
- Include any bursverenler.org transaction or order references.
- Do not repeat the donation while waiting for verification.
If more than one charge for the same transaction is technically confirmed, the necessary correction is assessed against the payment records. Submitting a notice does not itself guarantee an automatic cancellation or refund.
Unrecognised transaction
Contact your bank first if you see a donation transaction that is not yours
For an unrecognised or potentially unauthorised card transaction, contact your bank or card provider promptly to protect your card. Then notify bursverenler.org so the transaction record can be matched.
- Share the transaction date, amount and description shown by the bank.
- Include any available transaction reference.
- Do not share your full card number, CVV, password or SMS verification code.
- Follow the bank’s dispute and card-security instructions.
Cancellation and refund distinction
Changing your mind about a donation is different from an incorrect charge
A donation completed with the intended purpose, organisation, scholarship or project is recorded for that purpose and is generally not cancelled or refunded because the donor later changes their mind. A technical duplicate or alleged unauthorised transaction is reviewed separately against payment records.
- Changing your mind after donating does not itself create a refund right.
- An incorrect amount or page selection does not result in an automatic change or refund.
- For a duplicate-charge claim, the two transaction records are compared.
- For an unauthorised transaction, the bank process and platform record review may proceed together.
This page concerns donations. The TRY 10 scholarship application service fee is non-refundable; see Application Service Fee and Payment Process.
