Before you begin
Sign in to your account before donating
You must sign in with an active individual bursverenler.org account to complete a donation. This helps create a secure transaction record and enables contact with the donor where necessary. Membership is free.
See Is Membership Required to Donate? for the scope and security reasons behind this requirement.
Step 1
Choose the organisation, scholarship or project you wish to support
Review the organisations, scholarship programmes and projects in the donation list and select the relevant donation page. Each page explains the purpose, supported work and any applicable conditions.
- Read the organisation or project description carefully.
- Confirm which scholarship programme or project will use the donation.
- Open amounts, fixed amounts or minimum donation levels may differ by page.
- If several projects or scholarship channels are available, select the page you specifically wish to support.
Step 2
Enter the amount and complete the secure payment flow
After choosing the amount on the donation page, continue to online payment. Payment is completed through the secure infrastructure of the bank or authorised payment provider.
- Enter the amount in accordance with the options on the page.
- Provide payment details only on the secure payment screen.
- Donations made with eligible Bonus credit cards may offer up to six instalments.
- Before completing payment, check the organisation, scholarship or project and amount again.
Participation in the platform is free. Donors do not pay bursverenler.org a separate fee in addition to their chosen donation amount. A 4% deduction is applied to donations made to organisations for banking and transaction processes; the entire remaining amount is transferred to the relevant organisation.
Card numbers, expiry dates and CVVs are not stored in bursverenler.org systems. Never send these details by email, message or support form. See Donor Information and Card Security.
Step 3
Check the payment result and keep your transaction record
Check the result shown when the donation is completed. Do not assume there is a separate donation-history screen in your account; your bank or card activity, receipt or transaction number and any email sent can help verify the donation.
- Check whether the status is successful, failed or pending.
- Confirm the amount and supported organisation, scholarship or project.
- Keep the bank receipt, account statement or transaction number.
- Do not repeat the same donation until the result is clear.
Is a separate donation receipt issued?
For donations made by bank transfer, EFT, FAST or credit card, the bank receipt or account statement serves as the donation document; a separate receipt is not mandatory. The relevant foundation or association may issue one if requested. Donations do not provide a tax advantage. See Donation Receipts and Tax Advantage for details.
The payment screen closed. Should I donate again?
No. First check your bank or card activity and any transaction record. Repeating the payment before the result is clear may create a duplicate donation.
Recipient selection
You may state a selection preference in eligible programmes
Recipient selection does not work in the same way on every donation page. Organisations that open their own scholarship through the Foundation can review applications and select recipients. In certain scholarship models, pre-assessed applicants who meet the criteria may be presented to donors, allowing them to choose.
- Donors cannot access every application or all applicant information.
- Applicant information is shared only to the extent necessary, limited and authorised.
- A donor preference does not replace programme conditions, eligibility checks or document verification.
- A donor cannot select a first-degree relative for a scholarship.
Donors do not make payments directly to recipients. Donations and scholarship payments are managed through the authorised process of the relevant organisation and programme.
Other methods and refunds
Check alternative methods and donation conditions in advance
Bank transfer, EFT, FAST or other directions may be offered for certain donation activities. Obtain current account and payment details only from the relevant donation page or the organisation's official channel.
- Enter the requested project or programme information correctly in the payment description.
- As donations are transferred to the relevant organisation or project, refunds are generally not possible for completed donations.
- Incorrect or duplicate transaction requests are reviewed from the records according to the donation and transfer status.
- If you are unsure about the purpose, method or conditions, request information before paying.
