Important distinction
Your profile and scholarship application form are different areas
This page explains your account profile. Your user information, profile photo and account password are managed from the profile area. The scholarship application form containing education, family, income, scholarship and document information is managed separately.
For form information used by scholarship programmes you applied to through bursverenler.org, review the Updating Your Scholarship Application Form guide. Do not assume that editing your profile automatically changes separate fields in your application form.
Individual users
How do I update my profile information?
-
Sign in to your account
Open the Member Login page with the email address and password you used when registering.
-
Open your name in the upper-right corner
After signing in, tap or click your name in the upper-right area of the page. On a phone, this option may appear inside the account or user menu.
-
Open the user information or profile area
Review the information shown in your profile that the system allows you to edit. Update any information that is no longer current.
-
Add or change your profile photo
Use the upload or change option in the photo area to select a current photo. When the upload is complete, check that the preview appears correctly.
-
Save your changes
Review the information you edited and use the save button. Before leaving, confirm the success message or check that the updated information is displayed.
Choosing a photo
Why is a profile photo important?
The profile photos of individual users and institution administrators may be visible to each other in messages sent through the platform. A current and recognisable photo makes it easier to understand who sent a message.
- Use a current photo in which your face is clear and easy to recognise.
- Make sure that only you appear in the photo and that the image is sharp.
- Avoid covering the image with unnecessary text, frames or heavy filters.
- After uploading, check that the photo is not rotated incorrectly or cropped inappropriately.
Check your internet connection and try again with a smaller image in a commonly used format. If the issue continues, request support and include your device and the error message displayed.
Account security
How do I change my password after signing in?
-
Open your name in the upper-right corner
Tap or click your name in the upper-right area to open the user menu.
-
Open the change password option
Complete the current password, new password and password confirmation fields displayed on screen.
-
Choose a strong and unique password
Choose a password that is difficult to guess and that you do not use for other accounts. After saving the change, use your new password the next time you sign in.
Use the Forgot Password page instead of changing it in your profile. You can create a new password with the code sent to your phone. For detailed guidance, review Login and Password Issues.
Institution administrators
How do I edit my profile in the Institution Management Panel?
-
Sign in to the Institution Management Panel
Open the Institution Management Panel with the administrator account assigned to you on behalf of your institution.
-
Open the user or profile area from the left menu
Open the user information, profile or password option and edit information belonging to your own administrator account.
-
Update your photo or password
Make the required change and save it. Use your own current photo so applicants can identify the institution administrator who sent a message.
Photo and password changes in this area are made in the profile of the authorised user who is signed in, not on the institution’s general page.
Troubleshooting
If your changes are not saved
I selected save, but my information did not change
Check whether any required fields contain missing or invalid information. Complete the warnings shown on the page, save once more and refresh the page to verify the result.
I cannot edit some profile fields
Some fields affecting identity or account verification may not be editable by users. Do not create another account. Request support through Contact Us and identify the field that needs to be changed.
I want to change my application form, not my profile
Education, family, income, scholarship and document information is updated from the scholarship application form, not the profile page. Use the Updating Your Scholarship Application Form guide.
