If an email or SMS does not arrive, check your transaction record first

If you have not received a verification code, application update, evaluation notice or donation message, follow the checks below. A missing notification does not necessarily mean that the transaction failed.

Check the transaction recordAvoid unnecessary repeatsGet secure support

First check

Do not immediately repeat a transaction because the message did not arrive

Email and SMS delivery may be delayed by the operator, email service or high traffic. First refresh the relevant screen in your bursverenler.org account and check whether the membership, application, donation or payment record has been created.

  • Check the application status on the application screen.
  • Check a donation or payment on the result screen and transaction record.
  • If you are waiting for a verification code, use only the latest code sent.
  • Do not resubmit the form, application or payment until its status is clear.
A notification does not replace the transaction record

The current record and status shown in your account are decisive. A transaction may be complete even if the message is missing, while a received message may still require you to complete steps in your account.

Email issues

Follow these checks in order if an email does not arrive

Verify the registered address

Make sure there is no letter, punctuation or domain error in the email address in your account.

Search every folder

Check Spam, Junk, Promotions and Social as well as your inbox. Search for “bursverenler.org”.

Check mailbox capacity and filters

Make sure your mailbox is not full, bursverenler.org addresses are not blocked and no rule moves the message elsewhere.

Wait briefly

Delivery may be delayed. Refresh the page and wait a few minutes before using resend repeatedly.

Ask for support if it continues

If the message is still missing after these checks, email info@bursverenler.org.

SMS issues

What should you do if an SMS or verification code does not arrive?

  • Check that the telephone number in your account is correct and current.
  • Make sure the phone is not in aeroplane mode and is connected to the mobile network.
  • Check blocked numbers, spam-message filters and operator restrictions.
  • Restart the phone or try again a little later.
  • Request the code again only once and use the latest one if several arrive.
Never share your verification code

bursverenler.org staff will not ask for your password or one-time verification code by email, telephone, social media or messaging app.

By notification type

Check the relevant record for the notification you expect

The membership or account verification email did not arrive

Check spam and other folders, confirm the registered address and use the resend option once if available. If the issue continues, contact support; do not create a second account for the same person.

The password-reset message did not arrive

Make sure the address used in the reset request matches the address in your account. If you made several requests, use only the newest link.

The application notification did not arrive

Check whether the application record and current status appear on the application screen. Do not repeat an application solely because no notification arrived. Ask for support if the record is missing or unclear.

A document request or interview invitation did not arrive

Regularly check your application status, registered contact details and email folders. If the deadline stated by the institution has passed, contact support.

The application result notification did not arrive

Results are announced according to the scholarship’s evaluation schedule. Follow the current result through the status in your account; an email or SMS is not itself the result record.

The donation or payment notification did not arrive

First check the result screen and your bank activity. Do not pay again before the status is clear. If you see two charges, consult the incorrect and duplicate donation guide.

Contact details

Keep your email address and telephone number current

Regularly review the contact details in your profile so that notifications reach the right person. Do not use an address or number belonging to someone else, no longer in use or inaccessible to you.

Support request

Report an unresolved issue to info@bursverenler.org

State the date and approximate time when you expected the message, the notification type, the email registered to your account and only the last four digits of your telephone number. If available, attach the error message and a screenshot that does not unnecessarily expose personal data.

  • Your full name
  • The email address registered to your account
  • The expected notification type and approximate time
  • The relevant scholarship, application, donation or transaction name/number
  • The checks performed and any error message shown
Do not send sensitive information

Do not include a password, verification code, card number, expiry date, CVV/CVC or online-banking information in your email.

Security

Be cautious of fake notifications and links

  • Check the sender address and the link’s domain.
  • Do not trust messages that claim you won a scholarship and ask for money, card details, a password or a verification code.
  • Do not click a suspicious link or open its attachment; type the site address yourself to access your account.
  • Forward a screenshot of the suspicious message to info@bursverenler.org.
