Application statuses

Each status shown in your account represents a different stage

Your Information Has Been Verified

The information in your application form and your uploaded documents have been found sufficient in the relevant verification process. This means you may be considered as a scholarship candidate; it does not mean that you have been awarded a scholarship or that funding has been confirmed for you.

  • Your application may proceed to the programme’s assessment and selection process.
  • The institution’s final assessment and programme conditions must still be completed before a scholarship begins.
  • Some scholarship models may also require support or donor matching to be completed.
  • Keep your application and contact information current.
Assessment Is Ongoing

Your application is being reviewed within the relevant scholarship programme. Your form, documents, programme requirements and the institution’s assessment method may be considered at this stage.

  • This status does not mean that a final positive or negative decision has been made.
  • You may be asked for additional documents or invited to an interview where necessary.
  • Assessment time may vary according to the programme calendar and application volume.
  • Check the application status in your account regularly for the outcome.
You Have Been Awarded a Scholarship

A positive decision has been made for the relevant scholarship programme. The start date, payment method, additional document or agreement requirements and continuation conditions are managed under the rules of the scholarship-providing institution.

  • Follow the current guidance on your application screen.
  • Complete requested documents, agreements or information within the stated period.
  • The amount, payment date and continuation conditions may differ by programme.
  • The relevant scholarship-providing institution is responsible for the final payment and continuation process.
Your Scholarship Application Was Unsuccessful

Your application for that scholarship programme did not receive a positive outcome. This does not mean that your bursverenler.org membership has ended or that you cannot apply to other scholarships.

  • Keep your education, contact and document information current.
  • Review other scholarship programmes whose requirements you meet.
  • Check dates, requirements and documents before making a new application.
  • The option to reapply to the same programme depends on its own rules.

Important distinction

Information verification does not mean that you have won a scholarship

“Your Information Has Been Verified” means that your form and documents passed the relevant verification stage. “You Have Been Awarded a Scholarship” means that a positive final decision has been made for the relevant programme.

The scholarship-providing institution makes the final decision

bursverenler.org provides the application and assessment infrastructure. Acceptance, scholar selection, the result schedule and payment conditions are determined by the relevant scholarship-providing institution.

Tracking

Check your application screen regularly

Status changes are made through the authorised assessment process of the relevant institution. Follow system notifications and your application screen; do not rely only on receiving an email or SMS.

The status in your account is authoritative

An email, SMS or screenshot sent by message is not by itself the current application status. Check the application in your own bursverenler.org account. See the notification guide if messages do not arrive. If you receive “you won a scholarship” or a payment request without applying, follow the security steps.

Validity period

Your application form remains in the system for one year

The application form is valid for one year. During this period, it may be used in assessments for other scholarship programmes for which you are eligible; each programme nevertheless has its own requirements and selection process.

  • Update your form and documents if your information changes.
  • The completion of one programme does not mean that your form is immediately removed from the system.
  • When the validity period ends, applications without a positive outcome may be marked unsuccessful and a notification may be sent.
  • For renewal, use Application Form Validity and Renewal.
