Distinguish an organisation’s selection from a choice offered to a donor
When foundations or other organisations open their own scholarship through bursverenler.org, they may review applications to that scholarship within their authority and select their recipients. Donor participation applies only where the scholarship type and rules allow it.
- Authorised organisation users may access only applications related to their own institution’s scholarships and programmes.
- The organisation assesses applicants under the scholarship criteria, documents, need and its selection principles.
- An individual donor cannot access every application or the entire applicant pool.
- Where donor selection is available, only necessary and limited applicant information is shared.
An organisation running its own scholarship assesses applications and selects recipients. A donor may choose only where the model allows it and only among the pre-assessed applicants presented to them.

A donor may share appropriate criteria for the scholarship recipient they wish to support with Yücel Kültür Vakfı. Some scholarship models allow a choice among applicants who have passed basic eligibility and document checks and meet those criteria.
- The selection option depends on the relevant scholarship and donation model.
- A donor may state appropriate criteria such as field of study, education status or area of need.
- Up to five pre-assessed applicants matching the criteria may be shared with the donor.
- The donor may choose only from the limited applicant group presented to them.
A donor cannot view every scholarship application, all applicant documents or detailed personal data.

Where a donor does not wish to select an applicant, the support is matched with an eligible applicant under the relevant scholarship rules. Applicants waiting for their scholarship to begin because their support is incomplete are considered first; otherwise, need and assessment results are taken into account.
- Not stating a preference does not prevent the donation from being used for its intended purpose.
- Matching considers eligibility, document status, need assessment and programme conditions.
- A donor preference does not guarantee that an applicant will receive a scholarship.
- The final process is carried out through the authorised assessment mechanism of the relevant programme.

Avoiding direct money transfers between donors and recipients helps prevent unnecessary disclosure of personal information and keeps the support process under the management of the relevant organisation.
- Payments to recipients are managed through the authorised process of the relevant organisation or scholarship programme.
- No direct money transfer is made between donor and recipient.
- A donor cannot provide a scholarship to a first-degree relative.
- Applicant information may not be used, shared or published for purposes outside the scholarship process.
- A donor preference does not replace eligibility and document verification.
bursverenler.org provides infrastructure for applications, documents, assessment and secure transactions. Recipient selection and programme management are carried out through authorised processes of the relevant scholarship model.
