Learn how your donation reaches an organisation and supports a scholarship

Donations are transferred to the supported organisation’s official donation account under the accepted agreement. Scholarship payments and programme administration remain the organisation’s responsibility.

Transfer destination

The donation is transferred to the organisation’s official account

bursverenler.org provides the digital infrastructure for receiving and tracking donations. An online donation to an organisation, scholarship or project is sent to the declared official donation account under the accepted agreement.

  • Check the organisation, scholarship or project shown on the page.
  • An organisation may have separate pages; your donation is linked to the one selected.
  • Authorised organisation users can follow donations in their panel.
  • Organisations may also follow activity through monthly reports.

Donation amount

A 4% deduction applies to online donations made to organisations

Donors pay no separate bursverenler.org fee in addition to their chosen amount. A 4% deduction is applied for banking and transaction processes; the entire remaining amount is transferred to the official account under the monthly terms of the agreement.

Example

For a TRY 1,000 donation, TRY 40 is deducted and TRY 960 is recorded for transfer to the organisation.

Why does it not reach the account immediately?

Payment, transaction recording and reporting are completed first. Donations are then transferred in aggregate under the monthly agreement terms.

Is the deduction taken from the recipient?

No. It applies to the online donation made to the organisation. The organisation determines scholarship amounts and payment conditions.

Recipient support

Recipient payments are managed within the organisation’s programme

No direct personal money transfer is made between donor and recipient. Payment follows the organisation’s authorised process, programme conditions and schedule.

  • The organisation is responsible for selection, amount, continuation and payment method.
  • bursverenler.org makes no payment or continuation commitment for organisations.
  • Eligibility and document checks still apply when a donor states a preference.
  • Recipient bank and contact information is not shared with the donor.
Important distinction

Transfer to the organisation and payment to the recipient are separate processes governed by different conditions.

Continuation

Continuation is not automatic if donor support ends

A donor ending support does not by itself mean the scholarship will automatically continue with another donor or end immediately. The next step depends on programme conditions, available resources and the administering organisation’s decision.

  • The organisation may reassess matching according to the programme and available funds.
  • A new donor or additional funding is not guaranteed.
  • Questions about amount, duration or continuation go to the organisation, not the donor.
  • Recipients should follow official notices and programme conditions.

Records and tracking

Check your transaction record and the supported page

  1. Confirm successful payment.
  2. Check the amount, date and supported page.
  3. Keep the bank receipt, statement or reference.
  4. Report a discrepancy with the transaction details.
No account donation-history screen

Do not assume donations are separately listed in your account. Keep the payment result and bank record.

Issues and support

Use the right channel

Use the payment-record guide for transaction questions and the administering organisation’s channel for recipient payment timing, amount and conditions. For a technical transfer discrepancy, provide the date, amount, supported page and reference, but never card details.
