Access scope

Only people who need your information for the scholarship process may access it

Your application form and uploaded documents are not public. Access is limited to reviewing applications, necessary communication, recipient selection and programme management.

  • You: You can view your profile and application information through your own signed-in account.
  • The relevant scholarship provider: Authorised institution users may access only records necessary for their own programme.
  • Authorised platform users: They may access data where necessary for application, document, technical-support, security and legal processes.
  • A donor: Only in certain scholarship models may limited information required for selection be shared; the full applicant pool is not opened.
  • Competent authorities: Information may be provided where required by law or official obligations.
Not publicly visible

Your profile, application form, documents and contact details are not published on public pages that other applicants or site visitors can view.

Institution access

Institutions should see only applications related to their own scholarships

When you apply to an institution, its authorised users may review profile fields, application responses and requested documents necessary for the scholarship assessment. This does not give them access to every applicant on the platform.

Can an institution I did not apply to see my information?

Institution users should be limited to scholarships and programmes belonging to their own institution for which they are authorised. Institutions unrelated to your application or their programmes are not intended to view your applicant record.

Can the institution see every document I upload?

Documents requested for and related to the relevant scholarship assessment may be viewed by authorised institution users. They must not be used for purposes outside the programme.

What happens if I apply to several scholarships?

Each application is assessed within its own scholarship programme. Each institution should access only the information necessary for programmes for which it is authorised.

Donor access

Donors cannot see the full applicant pool or all your documents

Some scholarship models may allow donors to choose among a limited number of pre-assessed applicants matching stated criteria. Only limited information necessary for selection or matching may be shared in that process.

  • Your full application form and all documents are not opened to the donor.
  • A donor cannot search or review every applicant on the platform.
  • Contact details may be shared only through authorised processes required by the scholarship model.
  • A donor preference does not guarantee that an applicant will receive the scholarship.

Purpose of use

Your information should be used only for application and programme needs

  • Assessing eligibility for programme conditions
  • Verifying form information and uploaded documents
  • Communicating about additional documents, interviews, results and the programme process
  • Managing continuation and recipient follow-up after a scholarship is awarded
  • Meeting authorised reporting, audit, security and legal obligations
An application is not unlimited permission

Applying does not mean you permit unlimited use of your information for promotion, marketing, unrelated communication or purposes outside the scholarship process.

Exported files

Copies downloaded by an institution remain personal data

Authorised institution users may export certain applicant information through available programme-management or reporting functions. The institution must manage the security, access, retention and eventual deletion of downloaded Excel, PDF and document copies under its own data-protection processes.

  • Exported files must not be shared with unauthorised people.
  • They must not be stored on personal devices, personal email or unauthorised cloud storage.
  • When the programme purpose ends, the institution’s retention-destruction policy and legal obligations apply.
  • bursverenler.org cannot automatically delete copies downloaded to an institution’s device or storage.

What you can do

Share only requested and accurate information through secure fields

  • Upload documents only through the relevant field in the application form.
  • Do not upload unrequested personal data or documents belonging to someone else.
  • Check that the file belongs to the correct person and is current and legible.
  • Do not share passwords, card details, banking credentials or SMS verification codes.
  • Do not leave your account open on shared devices and sign out when finished.
