Activities of the Aid Hearts Solidarity Association

Areas of activity

Support for people with disabilities

Providing equipment, materials and financial and moral support to people with physical and intellectual disabilities, and supporting their participation in society.

Educational support

Providing in-kind and financial support to primary and secondary schools; offering scholarships, stationery and clothing support to students in need.

Basic needs support

Providing support in areas such as food, clothing, fuel, rent, housing and household goods.

Ramadan and sacrificial donations

Accepting sacrificial donations and in-kind or financial donations received during Ramadan; delivering them to people in need and organising iftar programmes.

Health and social support

Contributing to treatment, medicine, medical equipment and treatment costs; supporting people without family care, older people, widows, orphans and street children.

Disaster and emergency support

Providing food, health, education, clothing, shelter, rent, housing, fuel and cleaning support during disasters, wars and similar emergencies, as well as in ordinary times.

Environment, culture and history

Working to protect and promote environmental cleanliness and health, and historical, cultural and touristic areas and works.

Cooperation and ecological balance

Contributing to the protection of the environment and ecological balance nationally and internationally, and creating grounds for cooperation.

Core principles

The Association’s services are open to the benefit of everyone and are not limited to a particular region or group.

The Association uses at least two thirds of the income it earns during the year in line with its objectives.

As a legal entity, the Association does not engage in politics.

Planned work and methods

  1. Conducting research to improve and develop its activities.
  2. Organising educational activities such as courses, seminars, conferences and panels.
  3. Obtaining information, documents and publications; establishing a documentation centre; publishing newspapers, magazines, books and bulletins.
  4. Providing the technical tools, equipment, fixtures and stationery necessary for a sound working environment.
  5. Collecting aid with the required permissions and accepting donations from within Türkiye and abroad.
  6. Establishing and operating economic, commercial and industrial enterprises to generate income needed for its objectives.
  7. Opening and furnishing social and cultural facilities for the benefit of its members.
  8. Organising meetings, concerts, balls, theatre, exhibitions, sports, trips and similar events, or enabling members to benefit from them.
  9. Acquiring, selling, leasing or renting movable and immovable property, and establishing real rights over immovable property for Association activities.
  10. Where necessary, establishing foundations or federations in Türkiye and abroad, joining federations and establishing necessary facilities.
  11. Conducting international activities and carrying out joint work or mutual assistance with associations or organisations abroad.
  12. Without prejudice to Law No. 5072, carrying out joint projects with public institutions and organisations in areas within their scope of duty.
  13. Establishing a fund to meet members’ essential needs and short-term credit needs.
  14. Opening representative offices where necessary.
  15. Creating platforms with other civil society organisations for common purposes in areas related to the Association’s objectives and not prohibited by law.
