VOLUNTEERING · AGES 16-29 · 9-MONTH PROGRAM

If you want to meet new people, gain experience in different areas, work as part of a team and contribute to projects with social impact, the Youth and Volunteering Program offers a long-term volunteering experience worth exploring.

During the nine-month program run by Yücel Cultural Foundation, young people do more than attend activities. They can take active roles in developing ideas, preparing projects, communications, organization and implementation. Young people outside Istanbul can also join through the online volunteering model.

Two ways to volunteer

Online Volunteering: Join from anywhere in Türkiye and contribute to content creation, research, social media, digital communications, project development and online event preparation.
Local Volunteering in Istanbul: Alongside online activities, take part in events, workshops, field activities, participant communications and in-person organizational processes in Istanbul.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to young people aged 16-29. Applicants should be able to devote regular time to volunteering, be open to teamwork and responsibility, and have an interest in areas such as culture, arts, youth, education or social impact.

Previous volunteering experience is not required. This can be your first volunteering experience.

What will the application ask about?

In addition to basic information, the application may ask about your interests, preferred volunteering model, areas where you can contribute, topics you would like to learn about and the time you can dedicate to volunteering.

You can also share previous volunteering or project experience if you have any, but it is not a requirement.

Remember: this is a volunteering program

The Youth and Volunteering Program is not an employment or internship program. Participation is entirely voluntary. To benefit fully from the experience, you should be ready to participate regularly, take responsibility and dedicate time to teamwork throughout the nine-month period.

Why do we recommend this program?

We see volunteering not simply as helping at individual events, but as a learning space where young people can develop ideas, take responsibility and experience creating things together. We find this program valuable because of its nine-month structure, the variety of roles available and the opportunity for young people outside Istanbul to participate online.
