If there is a challenge in education you would like to address or an idea you want to turn into reality, the Değerli Öğretmenim – Stars of Education Program offers a comprehensive development journey for turning that idea into an applicable project.

Led by Anadolu Foundation, the program brings educators and future educators together through online workshops, expert sessions, project development activities and mentoring. Selected projects progress to the Stars of Education Summit in Istanbul.

What does the program journey look like?

Design Workshop: Identifying challenges in education, exploring new approaches and developing an initial project idea
Transformation Workshop: Turning selected ideas into projects and working on process management, teamwork and funding
Implementation Workshop: Developing projects into applicable solutions through individual work with experts
Stars of Education Summit: A three-day program in Istanbul where selected educators present their projects and connect with experts and fellow participants

Who can apply?

The program is open to Turkish citizens aged 18 or over who are currently studying at a faculty of education, have graduated from a faculty of education or have completed pedagogical formation training.

Previous project experience is not required. Having a creative project idea that addresses a challenge in education is enough to apply.

What does the program offer?

Opportunities to meet experts in education and project development
Exposure to new approaches and creative solutions in education
Support in designing and developing a project
Digital certificates for participants who meet module requirements
Expert mentoring for selected projects
Opportunities to build connections across education, entrepreneurship and civil society

How can you earn a certificate?

An online assessment is held at the end of each module. Participants who score at least 70 or attend at least 70% of the online sessions are eligible for the digital certificate for that module. Those unable to attend live can access recordings of previous workshops.

Having a strong idea in education is only the beginning; learning how to turn that idea into an applicable project is just as important. We find this program valuable because it combines training, project development, mentoring and professional networking in one journey, while also welcoming educators who do not yet have previous project experience.
