Expectation of purpose-aligned use
To expect the donation to be used for its stated purpose and to receive explanatory information about its use.
Acknowledgement and information
To receive an appropriate acknowledgement and, where possible, transaction information confirming receipt of the donation.
Requesting confidentiality
To request that donor information and the donation remain confidential to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Professional communication
To expect respectful, clear and professional communication from persons representing the Platform or recipient organisation.
Knowing the representative’s capacity
To know whether the person requesting a donation is a volunteer, employee, authorised representative or external service provider.
Protection of contact information
To be informed with whom and for what purpose contact details may be shared and to communicate preferences within the applicable legal framework.
Asking questions and receiving clear answers
To ask questions before or after donating and receive accurate, understandable answers within a reasonably practicable period.
