1. Account and access security

I acknowledge that the user account assigned to me is personal and undertake not to share my username, password or other access information with anyone. I will change my initial password, use a strong and unique password and protect my account against unauthorised access.

I will not leave my account open on shared devices or devices whose security I cannot verify and will securely sign out after completing my work.

2. Purpose of using personal data

I undertake to use personal data shared by students and scholarship applicants through bursverenler.org solely for reviewing applications, selecting and evaluating scholarship recipients, communicating with applicants and monitoring the scholarship process.

I will not use such data for any personal, commercial, political, promotional or other purpose unrelated to the scholarship process, nor contact students outside the platform for unrelated purposes.

3. Confidentiality, copying and disclosure

I undertake not to copy, download, reproduce, capture screenshots of, publish, make public or transfer personal data to third parties without authorisation.

I may share information only to the extent required with governing bodies or staff who participate in the scholarship assessment and administration process, require access and have been authorised by my institution. I will take due care to ensure that authorised recipients also comply with their confidentiality and data-security obligations.

4. Data security

I will exercise the necessary care within the scope of my access authority to prevent unlawful access to personal data and the loss, alteration or unauthorised disclosure of such data.

If I become aware of suspicious access, an account-security issue, data loss or unauthorised disclosure, I will notify my institution and bursverenler.org without delay at info@bursverenler.org.

5. Termination of authority

If my position at the institution or my administrator authority on bursverenler.org ends, I will immediately cease using the account and notify my institution so that my access can be terminated.

I undertake to securely delete personal-data copies that are no longer required or deliver them to the authorised unit of my institution, even if they were originally obtained lawfully and in accordance with this undertaking. I acknowledge that my confidentiality obligation continues after my position and access authority have ended.

6. Responsibility and acceptance

I acknowledge that I may bear legal, administrative and criminal responsibility for acts contrary to this undertaking, the instructions of my institution or applicable personal-data protection legislation.

I confirm that I have read and understood this undertaking and agree and undertake to comply with its provisions.

Administrators whose authorisation has been completed may access their accounts through the Institution Login page.
